Listerine, a well-known household brand of antiseptic mouthwash, recognized the need to dispel widespread misconceptions about mouthwash usage and promote proper oral hygiene practices. With competition on the rise, Listerine sought to not only educate the public about oral health but also emphasize the benefits of their mouthwash products.

To achieve this, an innovative approach and campaign was needed to educate consumers about oral health and the importance of mouthwash, all while reinforcing the benefits of Listerine products.  The campaign strategy needed to resonate with consumers, maintain a consistent brand identity, and align with Listerine’s mission – to inspire the world’s understanding of the transformative power of a healthy mouth.

Our Mission

Our mission was to develop an immersive and experiential event that was designed to educate consumers by debunking oral hygiene and mouthwash myths in an interactive and hands-on learning experience. Through hands-on activities and informative demonstrations, the event would be able to empower consumers with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their oral health, while simultaneously showcasing the efficacy and benefits of Listerine's range of mouthwash solutions.

In essence, we needed an event that would both bolster Listerine’s brand credibility and build even stronger consumer trust in Listerine products.

Approach

To achieve this, we offered not just a campaign, but a comprehensive solution that included event management, educational and creative activation zones, and strategic influencer partnerships. By focusing on education and engagement, we believed consumers would be encouraged to take control of their oral health and mouthwash usage while keeping Listerine top of mind.

The Listerine Labs event was managed by our team and encompassed all aspects from beginning to end including venue sourcing, design and set fabrication, creation of activation zones, as well as overall event coordination and management. As the whole event was based on the theme of a science-lab with science-backed experiments, we decided to enhance its concept by incorporating a curated lab-themed dining menu to complement the experience. This was done through a collaboration with renowned Thai chef, actor and model, James Teeradon Supapunpinyo.

To maximize engagement and enhance brand credibility, a key component of the event was the invitation of influencers to actively participate in interactive sessions. In each activation zone, influencers were taught how to utilize specialized equipment to learn more about their oral hygiene and the effects of bad bacteria. This not only provided them with valuable information but also generated authentic content and engagement that would lead outside the event through dispersion on social media. During the event, participants were also provided with a lab coat and authentic gear to help them fully immerse themselves in the Listerine Labs experience.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to receive personalized oral care recommendations from certified experts and engage in hands-on experiences with Listerine products itself. This fostered an even deeper understanding of the importance of oral health including the proven benefits of Listerine products, thus encouraging adoption in the real world. The combination of interactive elements, expert guidance, and its immersive theme resulted in a successful event that effectively communicated Listerine's commitment to oral health while seamlessly showcasing their innovative products.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED 

Listerine Labs proved to be more than just another event. Its fun and interactive nature paired with science-backed educational experiences ensured its resounding success. Through the active participation of influencers who shared their insights, Listerine Labs was able to effectively increase their awareness of Listerine products while providing them useful and valuable oral hygiene knowledge. The influencers public sharing of the event on social media also further enhanced Listerine’s image online.

Our seamless execution of Listerine Labs resulted in a memorable and impactful experience for attendees, successfully reinforcing Listerine’s brand position as a leader in oral health care. Our team’s meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the event ran smoothly, leaving a positive and lasting impression on the participants.
